It works for dramas as well.
Think Orange is the New Black.
What sort of quasi family could you create?
What draws them together?
A location?
A workplace?
An interest?
An apartment building?
A mode of transport?
A limitation?
An ailment?
A prodigious talent?
An ambition?
A religion?
A failing?
What sort of “family” situation could provide a huge well from which to draw weekly stories?
